Although Arizona has earned a reputation for its relatively hot and dry desert climate, a reliable monsoonal flow of moisture (and storms) makes it’s way to Arizona each summer.
With monsoons often come blinding dust storms, heavy rain and damaging winds. While some Arizonans loathe monsoon season, many weather geeks and shutterbugs consider it their favorite time of year.
