San Xavier Mission is the oldest European structure in Arizona

Built in 1797, the San Xavier Mission south of Tucson owns solid bragging rights to the “oldest intact European structure in Arizona.” While the church remains true to its original purpose of ministering to the religious needs of its parishioners, visitors are welcome to worship or visit year round.
