Papago Park stands out in Phoenix

In a state filled with world-class natural wonders, the massive sandstone buttes set Papago Park apart. The  striking red rock features catch the eye of motorists passing by on the Loop 202 freeway heading from Phoenix to Tempe, especially around sunrise and sunset.

Visitors to Papago can enjoy its extensive trail network through Sonoran Desert habitat. They can also enjoy the parks two major attractions – the Phoenix Zoo and Desert Botanical Garden.
