Saguaros are famous for being able to store large amounts of water. As a result, many people have the perception their interior is soft and mushy like a succulent. In reality, their smooth green flesh stretches over columns of woody “ribs” like the ones shown here.
I sealed some Saguaro ribs and used them as towel rods, lashing them with leather to wood holders attached to the wall.
