Since 2012, John and Judy Crankshaw have been cruising the United States and blogging about it at campshaws.com. Each fall they button up their Michigan home and, with their loyal pup Jezzy on board and Dutchman T@da camper trailer in tow, bee-bop to some of the most beautiful places the non-frozen United States have to offer.
I know from reading Judy’s blog that the Campshaws have the RV lifestyle down. They’ve figured out where to go and when to go there. It’s also apparent they love nature and appreciate the quirky people they meet along the way.

It’s no surprise that the Campshaws found themselves camped out near the shore of Lake Havasu for a spell in January 2018. It’s round two for them. They also came here in 2015.
They and a growing number of snowbirds have discovered the warmth and beauty of Arizona’s second largest lake situated along the Colorado River – Arizona’s western border. Arizona’s “west coast” as the Lake Havasu City Chamber of Commerce likes to call it.
Apparently, hippies love Havasu too. A whole flock of ’em drifted into town in their VW micro-buses during the Campshaws’ 2018 stay.
