Although you’ll likely find more luxury auto dealers here than in any other city in Arizona, Scottsdale considers itself a horse town. So much so, that Scottsdale officials recently found themselves in a tussle with the nearby town of Cave Creek for title of the “West’s Most Western Town.”
While the debate may never be settled officially, Scottsdale definitely has these bragging rights:
- Westworld Equestrian Center
- Over a dozen commercial horse ranches
- A network of horse trails through many neighborhoods
- Horse-friendly city ordinances
